Curriculum
Kindness
Children will practice kind acts, express appreciation and care towards those around them, and demonstrate prosocial behaviors, such as sharing and helping others, through thoughtful consideration of their needs and intentions.
Personal Care
Children will learn to initiate and respond to self-care routines that support their personal hygiene.
Conflict resolution
Children will use problem-solving skills and basic strategies to resolve social conflicts and suggest solutions. They will express their feelings, needs, and opinions during these situations. They will seek adult help when needed to resolve conflicts.
Nutrition
Children will improve their self-feeding skills using age-appropriate utensils, learn to communicate when they are hungry, thirsty, or full, and begin to express their food choices and preferences. They will also gain a basic understanding of the importance of nutrition for healthy development.
Emotion Recognition of Own
Children will identify and name the emotions they are feeling. They will describe and express their emotions.
Properties of Water
Children will begin to explore and investigate the properties of water.They wills see how water can turn into ice when it's cold.Watch ice melt back into water when it gets warm.Play with water to see how it moves.Notice how water can turn into steam when it's hot.
Sky
Children will be able to identify vocabulary used to describe the sky and the Earth. They will learn words related to the sky, such as clouds and the moon, and words related to the Earth, such as mountains and rivers.
Density and Buoyancy
Children will explore and begin to identify the physical properties and states of matter of various objects or materials. Children will investigate sinking and floating objects to learn about density and buoyancy.
Seasons, Weather
Children will be able to identify different types of weather and understand how it changes throughout the seasons. They will learn the names of different weather conditions such as sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy, and windy. Additionally, they will learn the names of the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Types of Motion
Children will begin to explore and understand a greater variety of motions with objects, including rotating, spinning, and twisting. For example, they will observe how a top spins, how a wheel rotates, and how a rope twists.
